You know video matters, but it just feels like too much. Whether you need promotional videos for grant applications, show juries, booking agencies or festival committees, it can seem overwhelming.
This virtual workshop shows you a simple three-step way to create short promotional videos that help people notice your work, understand what you do, and take the next step, whether that’s buying your art or signing up for a class.
No fancy equipment. No complicated editing. You can do this with your phone.
You’ll learn a quick, repeatable process you can use anytime you need to share your work or promote an offering—without overthinking it or spending hours trying to get it “right.”
This event covers:
A 3-step structure that makes videos clear and effective
What to say (so you don’t freeze or ramble)
How to film with simple tools you already have
How to use these videos to promote your art, classes, or events
When you register you will receive a link to the Zoom class and instructions on how to login to the class.
About the instructor:
Lyric Montgomery Kinard is an award-winning artist, educator, and founder of the Academy for Virtual Teaching, where she helps creative professionals turn their skills into sustainable online teaching businesses.
After more than 25 years of teaching and working artists around the world and being named 2011 Teacher of the Year by the International Association of Professional Quilters, Lyric saw how many talented artists were limited by time, travel, and inconsistent income. Through the Academy, she now teaches simple, practical ways to use video and online workshops to reach more students, increase sales, and build income that isn’t tied to a physical location.
Known for her clear, encouraging style, Lyric helps artists move past tech overwhelm and self-doubt so they can confidently share what they know, often starting with nothing more than a smartphone and a good idea. Learn more about Lyric’s work here.
