Newsletter Clinic for Artists and Performers

Email marketing is inexpensive and one of the best ways to engage with a client or customer base without worrying about a shifting algorithm. Artists, performers and organizations use email newsletters and marketing to direct customers to event registration, show off new work and sell tickets.

This online clinic will get you started with a newsletter that supports your work. If you have a newsletter but barely send it, or if you have one that isn’t working for you, this clinic will help you refine your newsletter and get your ducks in a row to start 2027 right.

Zoom session dates and times:

  • Thursday, January 28, 6:00-8:00 pm

  • Thursday, February 4, 6:00-8:00 pm

This clinic is for artists and staff of small arts organizations who want to communicate regularly with their clients and audience. You’ll learn about newsletter templates that will help you to create regular communication with your customers. Whether you want to improve event attendance, increase sales, communicate a show or exhibit schedule or other information, a professional email newsletter is not as intimidating as you may have thought.

All participants will work on their own newsletter during the clinic and in homework between the two meetings. Discussions will include various free email platforms, how often to send a newsletter and how to convert a newsletter to social media posts, blog posts or site updates. Don’t have a mailing list? Don’t worry, that is also covered.

Class fees:

  • Early Bird (purchase before Jan. 22, 2027)

  • Regular (purchase Jan. 22-27, 2027)

  • Last Minute (purchase Jan. 28, 2027)

This Zoom clinic meets in two sessions. Each session will be recorded and participants can view the session for 30 days after the clinic concludes. Participants should have access to a laptop computer during the clinic to set up their newsletter and get the most from the clinic experience.
