The Raleigh Arts Festival is one of the most original, longest running, and best-attended arts festivals in North Carolina. The 2-day event is held annually on the third weekend of May in beautiful downtown Raleigh. The festival’s centerpiece is an Art Market comprised of approximately 175 juried visual artists from across the United States showcasing works in ceramics, glass, fiber art, jewelry, metal, painting, photography, wood and more. Artsplosure presents national and regional entertainment on two stages, provides arts-based activities for children and families, and presents large-scale temporary art installations each year. Annual festival attendance averages over 85,000. Application Deadline: February 12, 2027

Black Expressions - Holly Springs

The Town of Holly Springs Parks and Recreation Department invites Black visual artists to apply for the 2nd Annual Black Expressions, a group exhibition celebrating creativity, culture and community. The exhibition will feature 8-10 artists whose work reflects artistic excellence, relevance to Black history or identity, and a strong artistic vision. Preference will be given to artists who live, work, study or have a meaningful connection to Holly Springs. North Carolina residents are preferred, but the call is open to Black visual artists age 18+. Deadline to apply: Dec. 21, 2026.

Greenway Tunnel Artist Call

Looking for three artists to create durable art on tunnel entrances and wing walls. Budget: $30,000 per project. Deadline to apply: Nov. 20.

Greenway Sewer Risers Artist Call

Looking for two artists to paint up to five sewer risers each along the greenways. Budget: $5,000 per project. Deadline to apply: Nov. 20.

Emerging Public Artist Registry

This is our brand new artist registry. Artists accepted on the registry will be eligible for two years to be considered for all City non-Percent for Art projects with budgets under $30,000. Accepting applications through Feb, 19, 2027. We will also have an online information session for the registry on Dec. 11 at noon.

Call for Artists - Town of Cary -
Applications are open for exhibitions at Town of Cary venues. Artists working in any medium can apply. This opportunity is open to any artist or curator seeking to organize a show. Works in all disciplines will be considered; however, due to limitations of the exhibition spaces, 3-dimensional works may be displayed in cases (see display case at each venue for sizes). Other 3-D or installation works may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Deadlines for submissions are August 1 and February 1, however, applications may be submitted at any time and will be held for the next review.

Call for Artist/Arts Educators - HUB RTP
The Research Triangle Foundation of North Carolina (RTF) invites artists or art organizations to submit their qualifications to lead an art instruction session at a future monthly program hosted by Hub RTP. RTF aims to curate a diverse roster of artists across multiple disciplines to develop a robust monthly calendar of programming at Hub RTP based on this RFQ. Fee $400/class.
