Call for Artists- Durham Arts Council

The Durham Arts Council showcases up to 12 solo and/or group exhibitions each year in 2 onsite galleries and at the Durham Convention Center. Typically, over 125 artists are exhibited annually.  Only 2-dimensional works that can be hung on the gallery walls will be considered because our galleries also serve as main entries to the building and special event and reception spaces. April 21

Request for Qualifications- Chapel Hill Community Arts & Culture

Pride Month is right around the corner! Once again, Chapel Hill Community Arts & Culture and Downtown Chapel Hill Partnership are looking for a Triangle-based artist or artist team to design and install temporary artwork for the 140 West Franklin Plaza in downtown Chapel Hill. Artwork should celebrate LGBTQIA+ Pride and will activate the plaza during Chapel Hill-Carrboro Small Town Pride this June. March 17

Call for Exhibitions- Artspace

Artspace seeks exhibition proposals from visual artists and curators across the U.S. for the 2026 exhibition cycle through early 2027 in Gallery 1 and Gallery 2. Open to professional, mid-career and established artists and curators residing in the U.S. Two-person or group proposals by artists are also welcomed. March 6

Bottoms Up: Contemporary Ceramics in the South, A Juried Cup Show will be held at Artspace this spring 2025. This exhibition celebrates the outstanding achievements of contemporary ceramic artists in the Southeast while providing an accessible way for new and established collectors to engage with these artists and their works. March 6

Call for Artist- Eno Arts Mill Gallery

Adults and youth 13+ are invited to submit visual and written works of art for Rekindling: Voices of Restoration and Resilience taking place at the Eno Arts Mill Gallery in April 2025. Works should address how the criminal justice system has affected their lives. This could be through their own lived experience, or through the experience of a friend or family member. February 28

Call fro Artists- Uproar

Uproar Festival of Public Art returns to Downtown Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and Hillsborough, NC, from August 1-23, 2025. 60 selected artists will display outdoor works and compete for $21,000 in prizes. March 17

Request for Proposals- City of Durham

In collaboration with the City of Durham Parks and Recreation Department, the City of Durham’s Cultural and Public Art Program is seeking an Artist, Artist Team, or Artist and Fabricator Team with experience in projects centered around community-based engagement and storytelling to design and install public art at Crest Street Park located at 2503 Crest Street, Durham, NC, 27705.

Call for Artists - Town of Cary -
Applications are open for exhibitions at sic Town of Cary venues. Artists working in any medium can apply. This opportunity is open to any artist or curator seeking to organize a show. Works in all disciplines will be considered; however, due to limitations of the exhibition spaces, 3-dimensional works may be displayed in cases (see display case at each venue for sizes). Other 3-D or installation works may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Deadlines for submissions are August 1 and February 1, however, applications may be submitted at any time and will be held for the next review.

Call for Artist/Arts Educators - HUB RTP
The Research Triangle Foundation of North Carolina (RTF) invites artists or art organizations to submit their qualifications to lead an art instruction session at a future monthly program hosted by Hub RTP. RTF aims to curate a diverse roster of artists across multiple disciplines to develop a robust monthly calendar of programming at Hub RTP based on this RFQ. Fee $400/class.

Call for Public Art - The City of Winston-Salem, North Carolina:

The Artistic Bus Shelter Program is a project organized by the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Public Art Commission. The commission is partnering with WSTA to display the work of local artists to contribute to the appeal of City bus shelters and transit riders' experiences. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis.
