New Training Program for Durham Orgs and Artists
Triangle ArtWorks is excited to be supporting the The City of Durham’s Cultural and Public Art Program as they invite artists, creative workers, nonprofits, and arts-based businesses to apply for the Creative Training Incentive Program, funded through Durham County's American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding. The program supports Durham’s creative community through workforce development training aligned with the Durham Cultural Roadmap, focusing on building long-term sustainability, leadership, and capacity across the creative sector.
Selected participants who complete all requirements will receive a $5,000 incentive payment and be able to participate in several of Triangle ArtWorks most effective training sessions.
Applicants must:
Be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the U.S.
Be a Durham County resident or operate a Durham-based arts business/nonprofit
Be actively engaged in the arts and cultural sector
Have an established practice or organization prior to March 2020
Demonstrate financial hardship due to COVID-19 (2020–2023)
Commit to full participation and ARPA and Durham County reporting requirements
For full details on the Request for Interest (RFI) requirements and submission process, please read the full RFI document located on this webpage and on the City's bid webpage.
