All nonprofits want to have a “high functioning board” - but what does that look like and how will you know when you achieve it? Learn about today’s leading practices of good boardmanship, board organization, clarity of roles between board and staff, and the benefit of regular board assessment.

Excellence in governance is a journey unique to each organization. This workshop will help you learn how to onboard, motivate and troubleshoot your board so they are empowered to do the heavy lifting.

This workshop will be lead by Maggie Clay Love. Maggie brings 30+ years of nonprofit experience to the discussion including 13 years as a capacity building consultant to nonprofits and is a BoardSource Certified Nonprofit Board Consultant.

We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable everyone to engage fully. To request an accommodation or for inquiries about accessibility, please contact our General Manager, Corey Blaustein via email or at 818-804-1407. Please give us at least two weeks’ notice to arrange the

The cost to attend this event helps cover important programming expenses such as compensating our workshop leaders and the administrative work that allows us to present these events. While we always strive to keep our fees low, we understand that they might be a barrier to some. If you are experiencing financial hardship and can’t afford the cost of an event, please let us know by filling out a reduced fee request.
