Introducing Owl Tree Theater – New alternative theater in Cary

Four new theater companies have been added to the Triangle theater scene recently.   Today, we let you know about Owl Tree Theater in Cary.  Watch for information on the other three coming soon! 

Owl Tree Theater for the People is a Cary-based alternative and independent theater company that launched in September 2012. Priding itself on being “reckless in a good way,” its performance style will be experimental and edgy. Women in Triangle Theater Discussion Sunday night

Devra Thomas and Sandra Malloy  are spearheading a discussion of the role of women in Triangle Theater.  They have just sent us a press release about this event THIS Sunday night. It looks to be a great program and a discussion that is certainly needed.

LADIES OF TRIANGLE THEATRE presents:

-DASH-: An Interruption of Triangle Theatre

 

The newly formed resource group, Ladies of Triangle Theatre (LoTT), presents a livestream event to discuss the state of theatre for women working in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area.  This event will be featured as part of national livestreaming event with #NewPlay TV and @HowlRound.  LoTT will present this roundtable discussion Sunday, July 15th at 7pm hosted by the ArtsCenter in Carrboro, 300 E Main St # G Carrboro, NC 27510.
