NC Commerce publishes Legal Aspects of Business handbook.

Thrive NC the NC Department of Commerce’s “economic development resource for businesses” is a site worth checking out, as it has many resources for small businesses, amid the information aimed at major industrial relocation.  I have posted before about their great new site, Business Link NC and how, if you are starting a business, you need to start there.  That site has tons of easy to access tools for starting a business.

Today, Thrive NC has made available a downloadable pamphlet on the Legal Aspects of starting a business, which I think can serve as a worthy reference for anyone thinking of starting (or currently running) a new arts or creative business.

We have added this pamphlet to Resources Section titled:  “Legal – Starting a For-Profit Business”  If you haven’t already, take a look, as there are a lot of other great resources collected there too. Also check out the information provided in our Legal Resources – Copyright and Trademark Section.  A great team of UNC Law students have searched the Net and accumulated this info…so you don’t have to!
