Help ArtWorks Connect This Community – Be a Partner!

Triangle ArtWorks mission is to connect, support, promote and advocate for the visual and performing arts and creative industry in the Triangle. We are creating a center point and a platform for this community to be supported AS AN INDUSTRY.  This platform and network makes it easier for this community to act as a business community, and also makes it easier for other segments of the business community to connect with the Triangle arts and creative industry as an industry group.  ArtWorks will be able to use the platform and network to keep the community, as a whole, informed about issues that affect their businesses and to “sit at the table” for this community in economic development and other regional efforts, such as we are already doing with NC Tomorrow. ArtWorks added to Regional Planning Committee

One of the primary goals in creating Triangle ArtWorks was to create a platform for the arts and design community to come together as a business community. Creating a center for this community, with a central organization, creates an entity that can represent the community in regional business and economic efforts – someone to sit at the table that represents the whole industry and not just one particular business or organization. We are thrilled to say that we are already serving in this role.

Triangle ArtWorks is now participating as an Advisory Committee member in the NC Tomorrow Initiative.  This statewide effort is being run locally by Triangle J Council of Governments, a group bringing together leaders from the 7 counties in the Triangle Region to work on issues relevant to the region. So, we are having a little get-together!  The Carrack Modern Art in Durham has been kind enough to offer us their space for the event.  If you have not been to the Carrack and seen what they are doing to support the arts community, then this is a great opportunity! Read More

NEW! – Opportunities from FB/Twitter now archived on site!

As the central resource for the visual and performing arts and creative industry in the Triangle, ArtWorks is working to make it easier to find information about job/work opportunities, as well as opportunities for networking and education.  For a while now, we have been promoting, through social media, the most comprehensive list of jobs openings, calls for artists and other information to support your work. But, as with most social media…if you missed it, it was gone!

Now you can find this info aggregated on the site in our new Opportunities Section. Find it on our Home Page, below the Directory, Resource and other links. The information will be placed on the site directly from Twitter, as we do not have the staff at this point to create new entries.  But you will be able to search this information by category.
