All Saints Chapel –

Space: Thompson Hall:  – E Dunn Ave, Raleigh, North Carolina –  Includes the Titmus Theater (seats 196) and the Kennedy-McIlwee Studio theatre (Seats 102).   The theatres are primarily used by University Theatre for student productions and a summer theatre. Other activities are scheduled in the facility as space permits.

Black Box Theater at Sonorous Road

Sonorous Road is a brand new Theatre and Film Arts Studio located in downtown Raleigh. The black box theater is capable of seating 100 people with a highly customizable stage and seating layout. This is an affordable location for local and independent theater groups to produce intimate performances. We have seating risers, dressing rooms, backstage, and rehearsal space available. Bosendorfer Hall

Information: Bosendorfer Hall is an intimate, 150 seat  performance venue located within Ruggero Piano.  It is ideal for solo and chamber music performances, master classes, teacher recitals, fundraisers, senior recitals, business meetings, etc.   The hall’s stage has two concert grand pianos,  stage lighting, pa system,  recording capability and a DLP projector. There is also a small kitchen area with fridge and microwave availabe and a loading dock for deliveries.   The hall is available after 6:00 pm Monday through Saturday and some Sundays. There is good parking around the building as well as on street.   Cost for recording – $225.00 per hour (student rate is $125.00) Includes tuning of piano. Private events – $350.00 (3 hours including setup)  and up depending on time and add-ons.  Piano Teacher Recitals (minimum of 12 students ) $100.00. There is a $50.00 fee if bringing in refreshments. Tables, DLP Projector, PA system with mike and stand,  and stage lighting available for extra fee.

Burning Coal Theatre

Information: The entire footprint is 4000 square feet – about 750 of lobby, 750 of dressing room and 2,500 of theatre space.  The seating capacity is 238, but 150-175 is more comfortable.  The cost of renting the space varies depending on usage. For schools/non-profits, etc. it is $1,500 per week or $300 per day.  For all others, it is $1,500 per day.

Cirque de Vol Studios

Space: The Ruby C. McSwain Education Center/York Auditorium

  • York Auditorium can be divided into 3 soundproof rooms (105, 107, 109) with capacity of 30-50 each room. York Auditorium will accommodate 100 people with tables and chairs and 200, chairs only.
  • There is a basic kitchen facility. Room 109 has full audio-visual capabilities including a stationary, ceiling-mounted LCD projector for computer presentations, a wireless microphone system, and direct door to kitchen. When 109 or the entire auditorium is reserved, these capabilities come along with it. Rooms 105 and 107 have freestanding projection screens or whiteboards only, with outlets and extension cords available—no kitchen access. Wireless Internet is available in all rooms.
  • Monday through Friday Day rates: Full Auditorium — $520 for each 4-hour block, includes kitchen, Rooms less based on use. Weekend and Evening rates: Full Auditorium — $720 for 4-hour block, includes kitchen, individual rooms less based on use.

Space: The A.E. Finley Rooftop – This is an open-air reception area for a maximum of 90 people.  $500 for first 4 hours (minimum).
Space: The Klein-Pringle White Garden -An elegant white, silver and gray garden with a Victorian gazebo and small stone plaza. Accommodates 100 chairs.  $500 for first 4 hours (minimum).
Space: The Southall Lawn – This is a large, spacious area close to Beryl Rd. Accommodates 150 chairs. $500 for first 4 hours (minimum).
Space: The Boxwood Collection -A lovely area almost completely encircled with boxwood shrubs. Adjacent to the Southall Lawn, this area is also close to Beryl Rd. Accommodates 150 chairs.  $500 for first 4 hours (minimum).
Information: A non-refundable $35 booking fee will assessed for each rental site per reservation. Setups are only to be done by trained staff.  Additional rental time of less than 4 hours may be secured for a prorated amount based on number of additional hours and specific room(s) rented (1/4 of 4-hour rate for each addi. hour or fraction).

Marbles Museum and IMAX Theater

Curiosity Square – Wow your audience by performing in a dramatic setting with a dazzling terrazzo floor and a view of the spectacular Marbles Wall. This vibrant space seats 300 theatre style.

Zanzibar Room – After passing through the stunning African wood carved doors, your audience will enjoy all that Zanzibar has to offer. With state-of-the-art projection and audio systems and floor-to-ceiling windows, you’re sure to impress!  And with use of the adjacent catering kitchen and ability to divide this space in two – it’s perfect for dinner and a show.

Venture Hall – Although this is Marbles’ largest space seating up to 320 theatre style, the lighting creates an intimate ambiance for both the performers and the audience.

IMAX Theatre Stage – Perform for 267 of your biggest supporters and make a giant impression at the IMAX Theatre Stage at Marbles Kids Museum. With a built-in stage and fantastic sound system you can take your performance to new heights!

Information:  Situated in the heart of downtown Raleigh on Moore Square, Marbles Kids Museum and IMAX Theatre offer spectacular space to mix business with pleasure. Curiosity Square is available on Mondays and evenings after 5pm while the Zanzibar Room and Venture Hall are available daytime or evening. Event rentals are typically scheduled between 6 and 11 pm.  The Client’s caterer must be on the List of Approved Caterers. Outside food and alcohol are not permitted.

Meredith College

Space: Jones Auditorium is a proscenium theater with a seating capacity of 600.
Space: Studio Theatre is a black box theatre located below Jones Auditorium. The seating arrangement can vary according to the demands of the production, but averages about 90 seats per show.
Space: Carswell Recital Hall is located in the Wainwright Music Building. With a seating capacity of 175, it is best used for musical presentations.

Moonlight Stage Company

Classes: Moonlight Stage Company (North Raleigh) has a full drama school for youth and adults offering over 20 classes in Acting (For Stage and Screen), Improv, Singing/Songwriting, Playwriting, Clowning, and in the spring also Stand Up Comedy. The faculty is made up of current working professionals who have their finger on the pulse of the industry and also teachers who have worked at the highest levels of the entertainment industry.

  • Main Hall -The former Egyptian Gallery provides a stunning space for large events.  Standing: 275 guests.  Seated: 200 guests.  Available evenings: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday. Available time: 6:30–10:30 p.m.
  • Blue Ridge Atrium with Garden – The former Museum restaurant space overlooks rolling hills of the Museum Park. Patio is available separately for preconcert receptions. Standing: 175 guests.  Seated: 130 guests. Available evenings: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday.  Available time: 6:30–10:30 p.m.
  • Auditorium- Auditorium space available for presentations, seminars, and performances with audiovisual capabilities, large screen, and stage.  Seating capacity: 270 guests.  Available time: 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
  • Education Lobby -Convenient reception area for events hosted in the Auditorium.  Standing: 200.  Seated: 125.  Available time: 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

Space: Lowe’s Pavilion – Outdoor ampitheater.

Information:  You must be a member of the North Carolina Museum of Art in order to host an evening event. A date may be held for five days prior to submission of a rental application and $500 deposit. The fee is nonrefundable but applicable to the final bill. After event approval a contract will be issued. The event will be confirmed with a signed contract and paid nonrefundable deposit of 25% of the contract estimate. All facilities are available after 6:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted All events must end by 10:30 p.m. Daytime rental is available in the Auditorium and Boardroom.  Access to additional art galleries for viewing may be added to event rental spaces for an additional fee upon request. All food and beverage must be provided exclusively by the Museum. Alcohol service is provided through the Museum. Food and beverage are not allowed in galleries. The Museum is a smoke-free facility for indoor and outdoor spaces.  Please check museum website for more information and for inquiries.

North Carolina Museum of History

Information:  Other museum spaces available and may be appropriate for certain types of performances. All after-hours events require security officers.  The Museum closes at 5 pm. Outside food and alcohol are not permitted.  An ABC permit is required for any event at which alcoholic beverages are served.  Smoking is prohibited throughout the Museum.
