The ArtsCenter in Carrboro opens itself to the community, offering flexible spaces to those interested in meeting, rehearsing, and performing in a creative environment. Whether you are planning a party, staging a play, or putting on a concert, The ArtsCenter is available to you during daytime and evening hours on both week days and weekends. Earl & Rhoda Wynn Theater: Known throughout the area for hosting local, national & international performance groups, the Earl Wynn Theater is approximately 6,000 square feet. 355 seated, without tables, 455 mixed standing/seating. It features a 32’x28’ thrust stage, triangular 40’x30’ dance floor, full P.A. and mounted 12×12’ projection screen. 250 fixed-chairs, 20 round, black café tables.
West End Theater: More than just a performance space or rehearsal hall, our West End Theater is an ideal location to house your next meeting or conference. This is a multipurpose room with 2400 square feet. 15’x15’ stage, sound system, & projection screen. Capacity 106 standing/dancing & 75 seated. 90 folding chairs & folding tables included. The West End also boasts a small, attached kitchen.
Nicholson Gallery: Our 2000 square foot Gallery is home to work created by some of the most innovative local artists the community has to offer. This flexible space offers a full service bar with local draft beer and other beverages. Capacity 250 standing, 75 seated. 10 round black café tables, 20+ chairs.
Classrooms/Studios: The ArtsCenter also offers a wide selection of classrooms and studios available for rent. Perfect for workshops, auditions, rehearsals, or parties, our smaller rooms offer a varied range of uses and amenities. Each room can be furnished with tables and chairs, with an approximate capacity of 40 standing & 25 seated depending on the room.

Gerrard Hall -The building features a U-shaped balcony with fixed seating and room for movable seating on the lower level. Total seating is 380 (187 in the upper level and 193 in the lower level). – Standing receptions of up to 200 people may be accommodated on the lower level. Information: University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill groups have first priority for the use of Memorial Hall and Gerrard Hall. Non-University events must be compatible with the University’s academic mission and the Chancellor’s Facility Use Policy. The average cost of a non-University event in Memorial Hall is $3,000-$5,500. The average cost of a non-University event in Gerrard Hall is $450-$1,000. The average cost of a non-University event in Historic Playmakers Theatre is $1,250-$2,250.

Space: The Horace Williams House is an 1840s Greek revival home nestled among two acres of towering oaks and majestic magnolias. Located on Franklin Street in the heart of Chapel Hill’s historic downtown. Good for small, intimate performances.

Space: Shakori Hills is just 20 minutes southwest of Chapel Hill, NC, near Silk Hope, and just a short drive north of Pittsboro, NC. The site can accomodate up to 2500, price dependent on size of event. Rental of property includes use of the meadow field, grove stage area, ticket booth, coffee barn, merchandise booth. Renting party responsible for insurance, trash, recycling, port-a-johns, etc. Electricity for small appliances only.
Facility: Market Street Southern Village has both indoor and outdoor venues available for rental for a variety of events. The Village Green is a lovely outdoor green space with a brand new stage, and is large enough to comfortably accommodate hundreds of people. The Green is well suited to concerts, art fairs, and other performances.

Location: The Center for Dramatic Art is located on the UNC Chapel Hill campus, on Country Club Road approximately one block north of the intersection of Country Club Road and Raleigh Road.
Paul Green Theatre – Thrust stage, seats 500.
Elizabeth Price Kenan Theatre – Flexible black box performance space, seats 120 to 200.
These spaces are usually unavailable for outside programming during the academic year. Best opportunity for outside use is during the summer session. Rental also requires personnel fee.
