How You Can Help

Triangle ArtWorks is a non-profit organization, staffed, at this point, by volunteers.  Put simply, the more money we have the more good we can do.  Please help us!  Click here for donation information.

We can use your help whether you have 10 hours a week to offer, or only a few hours on a one time project.  If you want to help, contact us, and we can find a project that fits your time and skills.  Just email us!

Here are some specific needs that we have now:

Increasing our support for the Triangle arts industry:

– ResearchTriangle ArtWorks wants to add more resources for the arts community on its website.  Specifically, we want to add pages with resources in the following areas:

  • A guide to submitting work for public art calls and programs – As municipalities and other entities expand their public art programs, there are a lot of new opportunities for area artists.  But how do you find out about calls?  How to you increase your chances of being considered?  We want to develop some online tools and tips for getting started in public art.  A volunteer is needed to work with some area resource people to get this information, and organize it in a easy to use form on the website.
  • Have an expertise you could share with the community?  Tell us what other resources you want to help add!

– Site verification – One of the backbones of ArtWorks service to our Community is maintaining an up to date list of Triangle-wide resources and links.  Volunteers are needed to periodically review the site, check links, and keep the resources up to date.  Can be done independently and on your own schedule.

– Writers – We are looking for writers to be regular contributors to the ArtWorks website. Writers will be given writing “assignments”, both covering local arts community news, as well as feature articles on resources and people who are making things happen in the Triangle.  We are also looking for knowledgeable columnists who are interested in regular opinion columns.

Triangle ArtWorks needs volunteers with skills in media, public relations and advertising to serve on it Marketing/Outreach Committee and advise us marketing strategies, and to help write/develop press releases and other media material.

Promotional video -ArtWorks needs assistance with creation of a video showing members of the creative community in the Triangle talking about why the community needs ArtWorks, what ArtWorks can do, etc.  The Director will set up contact with the community, but, specifically, ArtWorks will need help with editing and direction in creating of the video.

Grant Writing – Have skills in grant writing?  We could use your help!
