Durham gets a Public Art Program!

Just a quick post to let everyone know that Durham City Council voted last night in favor of a Public Art Program for the City. Similar to Raleigh’s and Chapel Hill’s, the Durham Program will devote a portion of the budget for Capital Improvement projects to install art at the Capital Improvement sites, but also other areas, such as a priority area downtown and city gateways.

The Indy has a good article here, but we will be working on getting more information to you about what this means, how you can get involved and how the process will work, as soon as we can.

If anyone was involved in this process and wants to help us get the information out, shoot us an email.

Help ArtWorks keep the Triangle arts community informed.  Let us know when you hear news that affects the entire community. We will send a writer, or maybe you can cover it!  Get involved in supporting the arts community in the Triangle!
